HAND MADE & HAND PAINTED Wood House Model Shelf Sitter of the Frederick Douglass House in the Anacostia neighborhood of Washington DCFrederick Douglass, former slave, famed abolitionist, orator and statesman lived in the house from 1878 up until his death in 1895. He expanded the house and raised his family there.
The house is located at 1411 W St. SE in Washington DC on a hill above the Anacostia River with stunning views of Washington, and is part of the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site.
The model is hand painted on wood, and signed & dated by Faline in 1994 for her own Cat's Meow design house, and features Casper, her iconic black cat, sitting on the porch railing
perfect for wall mounting or prop up in display cabinets or shelves.
Sized 4 " tall by 5 " wide and 3/4" thick
Very good vintage condition. Great color! Nice paint, with just some minor marks here and there,with some small chips on the edges. A little edge wear. Displays well A little GRIME from storage. Signed and dated on reverse. PAINTED ON BOTH SIDE
