    A Criswell Type 55 note - 1st Series - One Dollar () The Confederate States of America - Dec. 2nd, 1862 - S/N 96593.
    Center features a vignette of Clement C. Clay, a Confederate Senator for Alabama.  Signing for Register was (Miss) J(ennie) McGarr and for Treasurer (Miss) W.A. Garrett.
    This note is uncirculated but shows some staining.  There are some small apertures as frequently found with Confederate paper.  There are no tears.
