    A Criswell Type 43 note - Second Series - Two Dollars () The Confederate States of America - June 2, 1862.
    This note is the same design as Type 42 which was the first note issued by the Confederacy.  The only difference was the addition of a green "2 TWO" underprint.  The center of the note presents an allegorical design representing the South striking down the North.  The upper left sho
    ws a vignette of Judah P. Benjamin, who was Secretary of War and then State for the Confederacy.
    This is a heavily circulated note which was printed on lower quality paper.  There are pinholes and a portion of the note is missing.
