    A Criswell Type 29 note - Ten Dollars () The Confederate States of America - September 2, 1861 - S/N 31891.
    Center is a slave picking cotton.  To the right is a river scene.  Signing for Register was W(illiam) Rothrock and for Treasurer was H(arrel) H. Goodloe.
    This note from this better type faces up nicely.  There are paper remnants on the reverse but no pinholes or tears.
