This amazing artwork was a project that I took on in 1993 on a dare from a friend. The idea was to see if I could draw a life-size (or near life-size) version of the old man in the Megadeth "Countdown to Extinction" CD cover.
While the whole process took around 2 months to complete, the result is a totally one of a kind life-sized portrait suitable to hang in the home of any fan of heavy metal music and culture.
I'm making it available in two sizes.
* The larger size has an 18x56" artwork with an overall paper dimension of 20x60". It is the same size as the original drawing.
* The smaller size has a 12x37" artwork with an overall paper dimension of 14x40". It is a reduction from the original size.
The picture below gives an approximation of the space each size takes up on a wall when framed. In either case, you have the option to frame the print so that the title information at the bottom is visible or hidden. Also, the extra border around the image makes it so that you can frame it either with or without a mat.
Prints come rolled, protected, and shipped in an extra rigid cardboard mailing tube.
NOTE *** I have a hand full of prints where the title information has been trimmed off the bottom, so that there is a 1" white border all the way around, that I can offer at a small discount. Just write me if you are interested in buying one of those instead and tell me which size you like.
The frames in the auction photos are not included. They are for visualization purposes only.
Return Policy
If you decide that you don't want a print after you receive it, I will be happy to accept returns within 30 days. Buyer pays return shipping. All prints must be returned in their original condition with the original packaging.

Please let me know if I have made an error and I will do whatever I can to make it right. I leave positive feedback as quickly as possible, which is usually completed twice weekly. It may take a little longer in some cases as we don't use an automated feedback system.
