HEADSET / ELECTRET MICROPHONE to 8 pin ICOM Radios ADAPTER
We designed and built this
Microphone Adapter
with a purpose to have an ability to hook the computer headset or other microphone up to the
ICOM radios
.
This Microphone Adapter works with
Electret type of microphones
and
fits to any type of the ICOM radios with the 8 pin microphone round connector where the standard hand microphone HM-36 would work.
Almost all of the PC Headsets available on the market have the Electret microphones.
There are three pushing knobs on its front panel. The
UP, DOWN
and
PTT
knobs. Pushing the
UP
or
DOWN
knob allows you to change the working frequency of your radio or get the other function of the
UP
and
DOWN
keys your hand microphone HM-36 was set on. Pushing the
PTT
knob brings your radio into TX transmit mode.
On the front side wall you find two connectors. The
RCA
and
3.5mm Audio connector.
You can
hook the foot pedal switch to the RCA connector
using it to get your radio into
TX
transmit mode.
Connect the
PC Headset
microphone jack or other
Electret microphone
to the
3.5mm Audio connector
.
