    Description

    Civil War--Southern issue by a Confederate Railroad--the
New Orleans, Jackson, & Great Northern.
Two dollar note on the backs of unissued Bills of Exchange.   I
    ssued at
    New Orleans
    Nov. 16th, 1861
. Hand signed and hand numbered.  2 3/4 by 6  inches.  There are two varieties of these notes.  This variety has
    Liberty
anointing Eagle.   All coins were hoarded and the Confederacy, states, banks, insurance companies, merchants, and railroads issued notes in order to keep going.  What a story these notes could tell if they could talk.  Guaranteed to be a genuine, original Southern Civil War note.
