    Description

This is a mounted tintype photo of a young lady wearing a hat that looks like a crown. She is holding drum sticks and a snare drum is hanging on her waist. The photographer added lots of gold highlights to the hat, her jewelry, buttons, and dress. The scan doesn’t show the full extent of this nicely done coloring. Photo was taken right around 1873-80. She could be dressed up for a centennial celebration. The mount measures 2 ½” x 4”. Good condition; no significant mars. Image has good contrast and clarity. Back of mount is blank.
Payment expected within 5 days from end of auction. Item sent promptly upon receipt of payment.
