1976 RICKENBACKER Stereo 4001 Bass Rare all Black!

As you see this is a studio bass that has been used in concerts. Works great! Has some minor scratches on back. Chrome pickup guard removed for better sound and has been lost. Numbers on input jack are P2 then below 1166 no other numbers anywhere.
Paul McCartney used his Rickenbacker on many Beatles songs. If you want your recordings to have the Rain bass sound you need a Rickenbacker 4001.  Of all the basses McCartney could use he selected the Rickenbacker for the best bass recording sounds.
This Rickenbacker guitar is a deluxe version of the 4000 and comes with two pickups, thus allowing added flexibility and bass-response. The triangle inlays, bound body and neck, makes this bass guitar quite desirable. With a crested-wave-shaped body and a neck-through construction, this Rickenbacker bass guitar is a pleasure to play and comfortable to grip and has a great weight.
