1949 RUBY RED ANCHOR GLASS NO DEPOSIT BEER BOTTLE BEAUTIFUL COLOR

Description

Large quart size bottle. Dated 49 (1949) on the base. Royal Ruby glass made by Anchor Hocking Glass. Absolutely beautiful blood red color. Read where this ruby red color was made by adding gold to the glass to give it that tremendous color. This was one of the first throw away bottles. Embossed near the base NO DEPOSIT-NO RETURN/ NOT TO BE REFILLED. Base is also embossed with lots of wording. Great shiny condition with no chips, cracks, digs, staining etc. Just a great window or bottle tree bottle. Of course, it is also collectible as an early, rare colored beer bottle made for only a very short period of time.  Returns only if not as described.
