Description
Beautiful antique 4/4 violin or fiddle if you prefer. There is an old, partially torn, German label visible inside the f hole; all that is left and could be read is: nach, Fies Cremona 1736. It is also branded GLASS in the button area. The violin was made sometime in the late 1800 to early 1900s inGermany in
the
reputable shop
of August Friedrich Glass.
The violin has been fully restored with an extra ef
fort to keep the original
appearance and sound. There is an old repaired crack to the right of the tailpiece, and also a hard to see repair on the right side of the right f hole. All repairs are professionally done and completely stable. There are some scuffs and scratches, all touched up.
T
he violin is structurally sound and in ready to play condition. The tone is excellent as is, but it will be even better with new quality strings. Returns accepted within 14 days of purchase. Buyer pays for return shipping.
